I’ve been looking at some of my work from 10 years ago, and it got me thinking about something fascinating that I’ve noticed both in my own artistic journey and with many of the artists I coach.
There’s this beautiful evolution that happens in our art.
In the beginning, we often tuck away our boldest creative impulses, hiding them in the quieter parts of our work. But over time, as we open up, those parts begin to emerge.
It’s almost like a hidden map showing where your art is heading—before you even realize it.
Where do you see yourself in this process of opening up?

This week on the Art2Life Podcast, is a special conversation with one of my coaches and mentors, Stu McLaren. What makes Stu unique is how he masterfully combines business, heart, and community – three things that rarely go together.
For many artists, bringing together business and our artistic passion can feel challenging. This conversation might change how you think about that. He’s such an incredible human being, and I know you’ll get a lot from this discussion.
