I love this word because I consider it the next level of becoming alive. To flourish is to move into a higher level of the human experience. It includes conditions such as creativity, self-expression, curiosity, and awe! It’s almost a childlike state of wonder and amazement at the mysteries of life. Without these nourishing emotions, our state of mind and, naturally, our work can be less than it could be.
I want to flourish while making my art and it’s how I want the work to feel. It’s not there yet but holding this word ignites my curiosity and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
