I’m back in the studio and getting ready for an upcoming show. I have a few months to make 15 – 18 paintings, and I thought I’d share my process with you over the coming weeks!

Today, I’m pulling out all my recent work to get a wide view of everything I have. These paintings are in various stages, and some are still blank. While looking at the assorted shapes and sizes, I’m becoming familiar with what the show may look like. I want this broad view of the collection before I get too specific.
Now’s the time I ruminate and look for exciting clues about where the work will lead. I typically find it in the panels where I’ve played the most!
